Creating a Self-Expressed Career

Are you tired of working for a company where you don't feel like you
fit in? Do you ever wish you could broadcast your ideas to the
world and have them heard and understood? Do you harbor some
secret idea of some kind of work you'd like to be doing, but wonder
if your idea is crazy?
When you think about ideas you have about possible
new ways of working, do you tell yourself things like, "I'll never
make money at that!" or something similar? Do you worry about
whether your ideas are good or feasible?
Now, you can create a career that fits you
uniquely, that allows for your authenticity. It's called a
"self-expressed career." It' s making a livelihood with ideas
and people and things you love. And this is a course in
getting clear on what your self-expressed career and life would look
like, overcoming obstacles, feeling support, and moving ahead!

these four weeks, we'll cover:
Session 1: What Do You Want to Express?
Develop a clear vision of what you love and what you want to
express to the world (November 8)
Session 2: How Can You Express Yourself?
Brainstorm ways to make a living doing what you love (November
15/Break for Thanksgiving)
Session 3: What Do You Need to Get to the
Self-Expressed Vision? Create projects that will help
you bring your ideas into existence. (November 29)
Session 4: Keeping the Energy Alive. Learn ways
to keep the momentum going, to motivate yourself, and to address
fears and uncertainty. (December 6)
What's included?
Four 1-hour teleclasses. And, If you miss a class,
you'll have a dial-in access number where you can call in to a
recording of the class for a full week. So, you
don't have to worry about your schedule.
One 30-minute coaching session, scheduled between weeks 2
and 4, with Susan Bernstein, so that you can stay on track and
feel encouraged.
Connection to a matched "buddy," a fellow
self-expressionist, so that you know that someone out there
cares about your idea.
Membership in a YahooGroup so you can check in with other
self-expressionists who are also creating their own ideas.
You can have the support of the entire group on an
ongoing basis.
Weekly assigned activities to keep you moving and growing.
Of course, you don't have to do them, but the real
value in the class happens between sessions. These
activities help you to maintain momentum, so you'll stay
energized about your developing self-expressed career idea.

This teleclass series is designed to help you create a compelling
vision of a self-expressed career, and provides initial support for
examining the financial considerations of this vision. For
