My Personal Transition: Enhancing My Worth & Work

My personal story of career transition: For a few months, I’ve been feeling a bit lost and stuck in my coaching. Even though I could clearly see how successful my clients were, I was feeling “reined it” as a career coach. But I’ve realized that helping people in career transitions is only one part of the work I want to do. In the broader sense, I really love to help people who want to fulfill their dreams and live a purpose-filled life. But all that self- awareness was buried beneath the surface.

How did I become aware that I want to help people fulfill their dreams and live more purposefully? My friend Deborah Price, author of Money Magic, has been encouraging me to attend a workshop she teaches on money coaching. She wanted to help me build my coaching practice, Work from Within. But I wondered if her workshop could really help me overcome my lack of fulfillment. Fortunately, Deborah was politely persistent. This past October, I finally attended her money coaching workshop.

Wow! What an experience! Deborah helped me to see, graphically, the full portfolio of skills, talents, and abilities that I want to be sharing with the world. And then she showed me that I was only using a few of them. Basically, if I see myself as an asset, I was underperforming! I wasn’t leveraging my most important skills – the ones that give me the highest return on life energy. No wonder I was feeling it was so hard to build a full schedule of clients. I had limited myself (and my clients) to less than my full potential.

When I attended the money coaching workshop, I discovered that money is a form of exchange. And what your family teaches you about money, intentionally and unintentionally, sets up the ways that you exchange all kinds of things. Including the way you trade your talents for money!

In my family, money was taboo. You just didn’t talk about it. Sound familiar to you, too? Well, I was pretty innocent about how money works. You probably know that diversification is generally a good investment strategy. But in terms of the way I was operating Work from Within, I was under-diversified, offering too narrow a slice of my talents. When I was able to clearly see these patterns, I could then make new conscious choices and shift my behaviors to create new results.

Now, I’m re-energized and excited to share more of my talents with you. My own experience with receiving money coaching was so positive that I decided to become a money coach! I just finished very extensive training so I can assist others. Through money coaching, I can help you to create the life you desire. I help you release stress, anxiety and fear around money. Using a step-by-step process, I guide you to a deeper understanding of unconscious beliefs and patterns that hold you back. When you can clearly and compassionately see these habits, you can transform your relationship with money and lead a more purposeful and prosperous life.

Thanks for letting me share about my own transition. I hope my story gives you the courage to take your own next steps towards creating work that enhances your worth.
