I love getting what I want.  I bet you do, too!
Whether it's the movie The Secret, or the book Ask and It Is Given, I've been studying all different principles for manifesting what's most important. 
Personally, I'm not focused on getting fancy cars or spiffy clothing.  What draws me is finding the clarity and confidence to share more of my talents and abilities with the world.  Hey, that's what I help my clients to do, too!

I want to share two books with you that have helped me and my clients to achieve what's essential to them:

In The Intention Experiment, Lynne Taggart presents a host of research that demonstrates that thought is a thing that affects other things.  Another way to say this?  Your intentions matter. 

As I see it, Taggart is saying that when you visualize a positive outcome, you help make that possibility more likely.  The scientific evidence is compelling.  As a coach, I get to see that clients get what they want, or something even better, when they clearly articulate their desires.  And, more importantly, why they want what they want.  It seems that somehow, getting in touch with the emotions of desire activates them.  Pretty neat, eh?

I've also been excited about the power of intention by Robert Scheinfeld's The 11th Element: The Key to Unlocking Your Master Blueprint for Wealth and Success.   

What is the 11th Element?  It's the idea of tapping into "unseen forces."  Often, we can't figure out the source of seemingly synchronistic happenings, or good luck.  Scheinfeld says we can encourage unplanned assistance with our plans by imagining that we have an Inner CEO (and some might call that a name like "intuition," "soul," or "higher guidance.").  He outlines a way to make specific requests for assistance from your Inner CEO.

I've been using a form of the Inner CEO with clients, and love the explicit description that Scheinfeld shares. It's helped many of my clients to get unexpected (but welcome!) help with finding their career transitions.  Phone calls from old classmates.  Seemingly "chance" meetings with people who can offer a job.  Personally, I ask my Inner CEO for help in all sorts of projects, including choosing topics for this newsletter, and ease in writing it!

So, think of something you want.  Get clear about it.  That's the intention part.  Now, ask your Inner CEO to help you access help from sources that you might never think up with your conscious mind.  People, resources, and circumstances to help you with your plans.  Stay on course with your dreams, and as you take action, be curious and patient for signs that your desired outcome is manifesting.
